YJSS 101 - Yellow Jacket Success Strategies (1 Hour)
This course is intended for new Randolph-Macon College students as they make the transition to Randolph-Macon. Through regular meetings with their academic advisor and a peer leader, as well as regularly-scheduled activities and panel discussions featuring campus leaders, the course provides students with the resources they need to: get involved on campus, gain independence in transacting academic business, explore special academic and co-curricular programs, and learn what it takes to have success as a Randolph-Macon College student, both inside and outside the classroom. All students will be enrolled in a section of this course prior to their matriculation at the college. Their academic advisor will serve as the instructor/convener for a one-hour per week session. Satisfactory completion of YJSS 101 is required as part of the Four-Year Degree Guarantee.
