Requirements for a Major in Psychology

Bachelor of Arts

The major program consists of a minimum of 12 courses with grades of C- or better in all courses that count toward the major.

All majors must take PSYC 320 Behavioral Neuroscience, PSYC 321 Clinical Neuroscience, PSYC 323 Hormones and Behavior, or PSYC 325 Psychopharmacology

Only one internship or field study will count toward the major.

Emphases in Cognitive Science, Psychobiology, Developmental Psychology, Social Psychology, and Clinical Applications can be obtained by taking three courses in a single categorical series.

  • EDUC 321 Educ Psychology may be used to satisfy one upper-level elective.
